It
comes as a shock only to the little people, blinded by their materialism and
wallowing in their Western fleshpots.
Like some awesome spectre, the shadow of the black-shrouded imams and
kadis and ayatollahs of Islam sweep across the world scene in an awesome display
of magnetism and hypnotism that sweeps up tens of millions of people in its
hysterical grip. How is it possible for
an old man living thousands of miles away to exercise such a power over
millions? More to the point, how is it
conceivable that this mob was able to drive out a Shah and paralyze a country
without any serious challenge from one of the most powerful armies in the
world, equipped with billions of dollar worth of the most modern, sophisticated
weapons available?
And
now, from all over the Middle East and beyond, come the militant cries of a
militant Islam. In Pakistan, the
military government decrees Islamic law to be the law of the land. In the Sudan, students march and call out
cries of “Allah” is great!” All over
Africa and Asia, Islam is on the march and the pathetic Polish adviser to
Carter calls on his sophisticated Columbia University and State Department
“experts” to make yet another study – this time of an Islam that cometh.
It
is, again, a shock only to the ignorant, the blind, the ones who removed G-d
and religion from any relevance to modem life.
It is an ignorance shared by gentile and Jew alike, and too many
“religious” Jews are partners to it.
What is happening MUST BE and it is part of an era of the beginning of
the redemption, with all the needless and unnecessary tragedies that accompany
it, and that we bring upon ourselves.
The final chapter is being written not only in Jewish history but in that
of the world, and the “measure of sin is full” (Yalkut, Bamidbar, 743; Rashi,
Genesis 19:20).
A world that refused to recognize the L-rd or to “know” Him is facing the
proof of His existence and Omnipotence. A world that arrogantly thought that
G-d was dead, impotent, irrelevant, in His “proper” place, is on the verge of
being shaken and smelted in the Divine furnace.
For all the sins, there is now the time of payment.
“Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre . . . because your heart has
grown proud and you have said, ‘I am a god! I sit in the seat of G-d, in
the heart of the seas’; yet you are man and not G-d, though you have set your
heart as the heart of G-d . . . Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon
you, the most terrible of the nations, and they will draw their swords against
the beauty of your wisdom, and they will defile your brightness. They will bring you down to the pit, and you
will die the deaths of them that are slain in the heart of the seas. Will you yet say before him that slays you,
‘I am G-d’? But you are a man, and not
G-d, in the hand of him that slays you.” (Ezekiel 28:2, 7-10)
The arrogance of a world that saw in itself the master of
its own fate, blessed with the ability to create and produce and determine its
own future. That declared: “G-d did not
create me, I conceived Him!” That joined
in the cry of an arrogant Pharaoh: “Who
is the L-rd? I know not the L-rd!” For
this world that found Him irrelevant and scorned His majesty and kinship, there
is now a time of payment.
For the unbridled materialism!
“And they shall make a spoil of your riches, and make a prey of your
merchandise; and they shall break down your walls, and destroy the houses of
your delight . . . . I will put an end to the multitude of your songs, and the
sound of your lyres shall be heard no more . . . Then all the princes of the
sea will descend from their thrones, remove their robes, and strip off their
richly
woven garments; they shall clothe themselves with trembling . . . and they shall take up a lamentation for you,
and say of you: ‘How are you destroyed . . . the renowned city . . . she and
her inhabitants, who had set their terror upon all those round about.’”
(Ezekiel 26:12,13,16,17)
The throwing off of the yoke of Heaven, the refusal to rise
above the animal and to attain the holiness that was the purpose of the
creation of man. The wallowing in desire
and pleasure and self-indulgence, to the exclusion of spirit. The turning of man into animal and the
negation of Creation’s destiny – all part of the arrogant refusal to “know” the
L-rd.
For all their evil, their murder, cruelty and oppression; for their
torture and persecution of the people of Israel! “Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir . .
. . I will lay your cities waste, and you shall be desolate, and you shall know
that I am the L-rd. because you have had
a perpetual hatred and have hurled the children of Israel to the power of the
sword in the time of their calamity; therefore as I live, says the L-rd G-d, I
will prepare you to blood, and blood shall pursue you” (ibid,35:3-6).
“Because you have clapped your hands and stamped with your
feet and rejoiced with all the disdain of your soul against the Land of Israel
. . . I will destroy you, and you shall
know that I am the L-rd.” (ibid.,25:6,7)
The culmination of the uprising against the L-rd and His people Israel is,
too, the culmination of G-d’s fury and vengeance as He makes His name known so
that He shall stand alone on that final day.
The hatred of the L-rd and of Israel MUST find the nations raging and
coming together in an alliance, no matter what their differences are. From one
end shall come forth those nations that scorn and deny any G-d.
From the other end shall come the hordes of those who proclaim the power
of a G-d that is not the L-rd of Israel.
Both shall join together, an Ishmael and Islam linking hands with a
Jew-hating Christianity of the West, an both marching against the ALL Mighty
with a Red atheism that is Communism.
Whatever their differences are, they are joined by hatred of the ALL
Mighty and His people.
“For behold, Your enemies make a tumult and they who hate You have lifted
up their head. They plot deviously
against Your nation . . . . They have said: ‘Come, and let us cut them off from
being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no longer remembered.’ For they have consulted together with one
consent: they are united against You: THE TENTS OF EDOM AND THE ISHMAELITIES .
. . “
The day of desecration of the L-rd is coming to an end and His humiliation
will be no more. Precisely the obsessive hatred of the nations that unifies
them will be their downfall. For the ALL
Mighty opens the way for them, seduces them to put into practice that hatred which
is in their hearts:
“And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say . .
. behold I am against you, Gog, the
prince, leader of Meslech and Tuval; and I will lead you astray, and seduce you
. . . and will bring you against the
mountains of Israel . . . . YOU WILL FALL UPON THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL, you and
all your cohorts and the peoples that are with you . . . . And I will dispatch a fire against Magog and
against those who dwell confidently in
the islands, and they shall know that I am the L-rd. So will I make My holy name known that I am
the L-rd. So will I make Mu holy name
known in the midst of My people Israel.” (Ezekiel 39: 1-7)
The measure of sin is full and the fire and Holocaust approaches for the
earth. The rise of Islam and of militant
Christianity and arrogant Marxism is the way of the ALL Mighty in this final
chapter, as he gives them the height of power so that they may fall to the
depths of destruction. Their cup of
poison overflows so that they may drink all the more deeply of it. Khomeini and the Nazis and Moscow ill swell
with pride and power so that the sounds of their bursting into destruction will
be heard by an entire world that cowers in fear as it finally “
knows” that “I am the L-rd, the Holy One in Israel” (ibid., 39:7).
Please
continue your prayers for Rivka bat Talya, daughter of Binyamin and Talya
Kahane, may G-d avenge their blood.
